Turkish Specialists Provided Free Cardiac-Surgery and Pediatric-Surgery Consultations in Bishkek

A one-day reception in the Kyrgyz capital became a real event for dozens of families. Within the humanitarian initiative of ALISA Health Group, two leading specialists from Türkiye arrived in Bishkek: pediatric cardiologist Dr Ali Yildirim and pediatric surgeon Assoc. Prof. Dr Esma Šehović Keçik.

Queues for the consultations began forming early in the morning. By the end of the day the doctors had seen more than 150 children—from infants with heart murmurs to teenagers with rare congenital conditions. There were straightforward cases, but also stories in which a misdiagnosis could have cost far too much.

• In one child a serious arrhythmia was detected for the first time.
• Another was referred for an additional examination that had previously been considered unnecessary.
• Several patients received recommendations for treatment in Türkiye, with the entire trip—including logistics and support—arranged by ALISA Health Group.
